EXAMINATION
The Samarpan College of Pharmacy offers D. Pharm, B. Pharm and M. Pharm programmes. B. Pharm and M. Pharm are affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, while D. Pharmis affiliated with the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh (BTEUP), Lucknow, and all the courses are conducted as per the norms of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) New Delhi.
The College follows the examination system prescribed by the respective affiliating authorities. During each academic session, students are assessed through Class Test, Sessional/Internal Examination, Practical Examinations,
Assignments, Viva-Voce and End Semester Examination of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, & Annual Examinations of Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh (BTEUP), Lucknow. Students are required to secure the prescribed minimum attendance and internal assessment marks to become eligible for the University/Board examinations.
The grading of marks is as follows:
1. Distinction– 75% and above
2. First Division – 60% to 74%
3. Second Division – 45% to 59%
4. Pass– 40% (or as prescribed by the respective University/Board from time to time)
The examination pattern, promotion rules, and award of Degree/Diplomashall be governed by the regulations of the respective affiliating University/Board and the Pharmacy Council of India, as amended from time to time. Students must successfully complete all theory, practical, sessional and viva examinations to qualify for the award of the respective Degree/Diploma.
