World Pharmacist Day Celebrated 2026
Samarpan College of Pharmacy, Dewa Road, Lucknow, celebrated World Pharmacists Day with great enthusiasm and academic spirit. The programme aimed to highlight the vital role of pharmacists in healthcare and create awareness among students about the diverse career opportunities and responsibilities associated with the pharmacy profession.
The Chairman Sir addressed the gathering and created awareness about the pharmacy profession, its importance in healthcare, and the growing scope and responsibilities of pharmacists. He encouraged students to develop professional competence, ethical values, communication skills and a commitment towards society.
On this occasion, Mrs. Astha Nigam, Senior Manager, (Medical Writing) Syneos Health Private Limited, delivered an insightful guest lecture. She interacted with the students and shared valuable insights into the pharmaceutical industry, medical writing, professional skills, and career opportunities for pharmacy graduates.
Various student-centric competitions were also organised to encourage creativity, knowledge, communication skills and professional confidence. These included Pharmacy Quiz, Rangoli Competition, Extempore, Chart Presentation and Oral Presentation. Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their knowledge and talent.
The celebration concluded with appreciation of the participants and winners.
